We are a California based motorhome RV rental and sales company and a camper and campervans for hire company serving the Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino areas. American RV rental terms
For how many days canIrent a unit?
Our minimum rental period is 3 nights, except during MAJOR HOLIDAYS which are 5 nights minimum. E-mail or call us to verify times.
Do we have to pay taxes over the price of our rental?
All of our units include the tax in the rental price.
Is mileage included in the rental cost?
We give you 100 free miles per day.
Our charge after that is only 32 cents per mile.
You can buy blocks of 500 non-refundable miles for $130 per block.
Do we have to pay a preparation fee?
No.
Do we have to pay a departure fee?
No.
Do we have to pay any hidden fees?
We have no hidden mandatory fees what-so-ever.
All you need to do is return the motor home in the same condition as you received it to get your deposits back in full.
What down payment is required?
To guarantee your price and unit we must have a minimum $500.00 down payment.
How do I pay for the rental? Do you take checks and credit cards?
Date of departure all payments must be cash, cashiers check, money order, travelers check or credit card. WE ACCEPT VISA AND MASTERCARD ONLY.
How about insurance?
Customers can secure an Insurance Binder from there own auto insurance company.
For international or out-of-state customers we can provide a Collision Waiver for $20.00 per day plus a $500.00 Collision Waiver Damage Deposit.
(DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE AT THE SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF YOUR TRIP).
Is my reservation/cleaning deposit refundable?
The reservation/cleaning deposit of $250.00 is fully refundable after the return of the rental unit in a clean undamaged condition, with the gas and propane full and the holding tanks empty. We have a List dump sites by states.
Do I need a special driver's license to drive a caravan?
Any Drivers License that is valid for an automobile is appropriate for these recreational vehicles/motor homes/Caravan/Camper. These vehicles do not require a commercial drivers license. Experienced automobile drivers already have the skills to drive a motorized caravan.
When can I pick up the caravan?
Pick up: Noon to 3:00 pm only.
Returns: Mornings no later than noon.
Business Office hours:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 to 4:00 pm
What if I am late returning the caravan?
The caravan is overdue after 12:00 pm (noon) on date of return. You will be charged $45.00 dollars per hour. Please notify our rental office if you will be late in returning.
Do you have units that open up in the back to let in motorcycles?
No. We do not carry Travel Tent, Gear Box or Fun Mover Trailers.
Where can we get housekeeping utensils?
Caravan Housekeeping Kits are available for rent at $35 each per Personal Kits and $35 for Kitchen Kits..
What if I return the caravan before the date it is due?
No refunds will be made for early returns, late pick ups or unused miles.
How about cancellations?
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply: when a cancellation notice is received thirty three (33) days or under prior to departure date, reservation deposits are applicable to future rentals within the next twelve (12) months.If notice is received thirty three (33) days or a $500 cancellation fee applies (except for "Summer" rentals)
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.
Who is responsible for road hazards? What if the caravan breaks down?
Customers are responsible for all road hazards.
Can we tow?
Most of our motor homes are equipped with class 3 hitches for towing. We allow towing but customers must supply the ball mount (Stinger). Customers are 100% responsible for any wiring required and must not, under any circumstances, alter the wiring on the caravan.

Are pets allowed in the caravan?
There is a $300.00 pet deposit when renting a RV. Deposit is refundable if pet does no damage.
Are there facilities next to your office where we can buy supplies and propane?
Our staff will gladly direct you to the closest shopping center, fueling facilities and car/caravan wash. Please read our Dump Sites page for a list by states.
Can I park my car at your rental center while we travel?
Yes. We charge $5 per night per vehicle.
Can we leave our luggage at your office while we travel?
Yes, but it is at your own risk.
Are we allowed to travel into Canada?
RV's registered in the USA may enter Canada and return to the USA.
Are we allowed to travel to Mexico?
Yes, but remember that your Canadian or American RV insurance in NOT VALID in Mexico. You need to purchase a Mexican insurance binder, you can read more about it and locate Mexican brokers in our Mexican Insurance page.
How much does it cost to stay in campgrounds?
Generally they cost between $10 and $50 per night. Campgrounds usually have electricity, water, sewer hook-ups, washer, dryer, swimming pool, playground and BBQ pits. Please read our Campgrounds page for more information.
Do you have baby car seats/booster seats?
Yes we rent baby car seats/booster seats with your caravan and they have to be ordered at time or booking or they might not be available at time of departure. For prices and photos please read our Car Seat/Booster Seat page.
Note: As of January 1st, 2002, California State law mandates that all children under 6 years old or 80 pound must use a car seat/booster seat.
We do not have cribs.
What if I am involved in an accident?
You must notify our office within 24 hours of an accident and make a full report in writing as well as file a police report.
Do you have bike racks?
Yes, the rental price is $10 per night. We also rent mountain bikes.

Security Deposits Can be $250.00 to $1500.00 depending on the motorhome (refundable within 21 days of the successful conclusion of your trip).
Bug Wash $150.00
Car Storage (Service available only during rental period): $5.00 per night
Carpet & Upholstery professionally clean: $150.00 and up
Cleaning Charges: if the RV is brought back dirty $35.00 per hour, $50.00 minimum.
Collision Waiver: $20.00 per night

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

American RV Insurance
Customers must provide an "INSURANCE BINDER" from their own auto insurance company which will cover the caravan with Comp, Collision and Liability for their rental period.
A Collision Waiver is available for our "Overseas Customers" for $20.00 per night plus an additional Security Deposit, which is fully refundable upon the successful conclusion of your rental. This does not include Liability Coverage. Collision Waiver is available on "selected" units.
Mexican Travel:
If you are traveling to Mexico it is necessary to obtain "Mexican Insurance" from an American company, such as Automobile Club and other American companies who offer it, as they stand by the policy in the event of a claim. To buy Mexican Insurance, you will need to go to these insurance companies: American Automobile Association http://www.aaa.com/, David Cutting Insurance Services http://www.cuttinginsurance.com/, Diamante Insurance Services.
Liability
This is essentially claims made against you for bodily injury or property damage. "100/300/100" Means 100 per person, 300 aggregate per incident, and 100 property damage. "300 CSL" means 300 "combined single limit" coverage. Instructors recommend 250/500/100, or 500 CSL.
